Lights: Boxed sets Osram
  

After sending some photos to the present Osram factory, the information I have received from Osram on the production of Christmas lights is the following:
“Christmas lights were manufactured before World War 2 in Factory A in Berlin. The lights shown below are from that period (probably 1935-1940), with the exception of “Osram 6”, which is from approx. 1970.
Around 1950 the manufacturing was resumed in the Factory B in Berlin. In 1985 manufacturing was transferred to Spandau Berlin and in 1993 it was shifted to Nove Zamky, Slowakei. There these lamps are still being manufactured today. "

Osram 1
Box: 43 x 20,5 cm.
“OSRAM Weihnachts-Kerzen”
Green cloth covered electrical cord with 16 black bakelite sockets with green metal turnable clips attached. Clips are embossed “OSRAM”. Original plug with one fixed and one removable pin.
Candle shaped lights, mostly with “OSRAM 14V3W???”.
On both short sides of the box is stamped “16151b 220-230V”; on the inside of the lid a white label with instructions is glued.
Osram 2

Box: 43 x 20 cm.
“OSRAM”
Green cloth covered electrical cord with 16 green bakelite sockets with green metal turnable clips attached. Clips are embossed “OSRAM”.
The original plug is green bakelite with one fixed and one removable pin. Candle shaped lights, with impressed “CEAG 14V 3W “.
On one side of the lid “16151 220-230V” and a label glued on the inside of the lid with instructions.
Osram 3
Box: 42 x 20 cm.
“OSRAM”
Cloth covered dark green electrical cord with 15 (should be 16) dark green bakelite sockets with dark green metal turnable clips attached. Clips are embossed “OSRAM”.
The plug is original with one fixed and one removable pin. Candle shaped lights with impressed “OSRAM 14V 3W” AND “OSRAM 7V3W Dgy”
On one side of the lid “16151 220-230V” and a label glued on the inside of the lid with instructions and information.

Osram 4
Box: 43,5 x 21,5 cm.
“OSRAM”
Dark green plastic electrical cord with 16 bakelite dark green sockets with dark green metal turnable clips attached; clips are embossed with “OSRAM”. Possibly original plug has been replaced. Candle shaped, colored lights are marked “OSRAM lmp 14V3W? ?dMX”. Included the transparent treetop star to be used as demonstrated and shown on the lid.
On the inside of the lid a label with instructions in German, English and French.
Osram 4.1
Same series as the previous box, but smaller size.
Box: 26,5 x 20 cm.
“OSRAM”
Dark green plastic electrical cord with 10 bakelite dark green sockets with dark green turnable clips attached; clips are embossed with “OSRAM”. Original plug, which is also embossed “OSRAM”. White candle shaped lights, marked “OSRAM 14V 3W ©”.
Included is the transparent treetop star as shown on the lid.
On the lid, in gold is printed “0353b” and on the inside cover in black “018d”.
Osram 5
Box: 42 x 19,5 cm.
“OSRAM”
Dark green plastic electrical cord with 16 dark green bakelite (?) sockets with green metal turnable clips, which are not embossed. Original plug with one fixed and one removable pin.
Candle shaped lights, marked “OSRAM lmp 14V3W oo7”.
On the inside of the lid are traces of something that has been removed.
On the short sides of the lid is printed “220-230V 16 Kerzen 14V 3W”.
Osram 6

Box: 36,8 x 19,2 cm.
“OSRAM”
Dark green plastic electrical cord with 16 dark green bakelite (?) sockets with green metal turnable clips, not embossed. Original plug with one fixed and one removable pin.
Candle shaped lights marked “OSRAM 7V3W lmo ouX”.
Boxed Osram replacement candle bulbs

Boxes are all 20 x 11 cm.
